The Optimax MK4, Ø 45 mm racing boom is the stiffest MK series boom. It can be used both in a full MK4 spars configuration or in the most used combinations for the best Optimist sails.

 

The MK IV Optimax racing boom is manufactured with a high grade alloy, dark grey anodised aluminium. The boom standard equipment includes: 

  1. Glass filled nylon in- and out-board end fittings
  2. Glass Filled Nylon V Cleat for the Outhaul system
  3. Glass filled nylon lacing eyes
  4. A transparent outhaul trim strip
  5. 3 mm Dyneema boom preventer line on the mast side boom end
  6. 3 mm Dyneema / Cordura outhaul line
  7. 3 mm Dyneema bridle with stainless steel ring
  8. 3 mm Dyneema primary vang line
  9. 6 mm Dyneema / Cordura secondary vang line
